Anyone else find it comical that Brandon Huntley Hatfield had some demands that we all knew Rick Barnes wouldn't accommodate. Now he is on a Louisville team with as many wins (2) as our National ranking. I remember thinking no way CRB guarantees anyone more playing time. I also thought though BHH was a solid piece that we would miss. It seems we keep on keeping on and he made a decision that appears to be a poor one.

Choosing your college team is a huge decision.
How many of us have screwed a big life decision up badly?

But, Don't be a douchebag and people probably won't root against you.

I'm in favor of the transfer portal, but it is naive to think that its availability doesn't lead some players to make dumb decisions. It's an even worse decision in hindsight, given how unimaginably bad Louisville is, but it still wouldn't have made much sense even if Louisville was good.

Wasn't he in line to step into a much bigger role this year? Clearly we didn't "need" him, but he could have had a really good season if he stayed.

I don't agree with this quote at all, unless sarcasm is intended in some way.

It was a very dumb decision as he would clearly have gotten more playing time here this year---how much more is hard to say and would
have depended on how he played. And of course Barnes isn't going to making PT guarantees to him or anybody else--no self-respecting
coach would. He went the route that some 5-star prima donnas go--no doubt with the encouragement of his family posse who are focused
on him getting a nice NBA contract and getting a little of his money for themselves.

Humm -- 11 assists 35 turnovers ---- Addition by subtraction from my perspective.

The team hasn’t missed him one bit. And he has obviously helped Louisville a whole bunch. So happy for both of them.

Wish him nothing but the best. And it ended up landing us Tobe Awaka who has made a similar impact, as BHH did, maybe not the talent but more effort and energy.

In regards to transfers… I’ve been thinking how interesting it is that KEY ended up being what we expected or at least needed from Justin Powell.. I feel bad for that kid, wish him the best, but Key has come in and for the most part is consistent will try hard on defense, consistently hit a couple 3s and couple mid range. Maybe not the scoring threat people imagined but that’s coach Barnes system will always be spread around

DJ Burns is playing really well at NC State. Always last one down the court but he is bullying people with the ball in the paint.

Random question have you heard Key talk in an interview? If you hear on radio and didnt see his face I swear I would think he was like a 50 year old coach not a 20 something player. Definitely has the voice and vernacular of someone 20-30 years his senior. Lol
