Just got a text from espn that said Knight signed a Financial Aid offer instead of a National Letter of Intent. Anybody know anything about this?

Apparently this means if Calipari leaves then Knight is not bound to UK, unlike a letter on intent, but can't transfer to another SEC school.. Calipari to Nets a possibility?

I believe he can transfer to another SEC school but he can't receive financial aid for 2 years from an SEC school.

The point is moot though.

Correct on all accounts. If Cal does leave and Knight wishes to move elsewhere, its not an SEC school.

Prokhorov is going to look at a couple of college coaches, but Cal isn't likely to be one of them. John's only shot at that job is an assurance from LeBron that he'll follow.

People around here seem less worried about LeBron leaving. Hopefully, he won't.

Which just seems to make a lot of sense right now. Especially if they could draft Wall. The role players are already there. If the Nets could add Lebron and Wall they would be one of the top 5 teams next season.

Why does everybody assume wall will pan out immediately in the association?

Anyways, I didn't know you could do what Brandon knight just did. Can't complain if it isn't against the rules, I guess.

So? It's not like the all-rookie pg in the NBA is going to be a cal product every year.

I'm having a tough time picturing how walls game will translate into the pros.

He'll be good, he won't be near as effective as Rose or Evans.

Nice choice on the avatar. I like Mashburn. If I must see a KY avatar :), I'll take a vintage Mashburn photo over Rupp and the banners anyday. Solid.

That was a bit overblown for what I meant. What I meant was I don't see how everybody thinks he's a sure-fire lock for #1 overall, when I don't think he's that good. If he played for some middling Big XII or Pac-10 team, he'd be a projected possible lottery pick.

Anywhere Lebron goes instantly becomes a top 5 team.
