He is up to 42 consecutive scoreless innings. That is f'n amazing. The record is like 59 i think. I hope he gets to it.

I think 59 was Drysdale's record that Hershiser broke. I think he also won WS MVP same year as Dodgers dropped a hammmer on the As

In September of 88, Hershiser was as unhittable as any pitcher I've ever seen. He was unbelievable. Not only did he break the scoreless-inning record, but he finished up the year with something like 8 or 9 complete games and a 10-inning game, all in a row. He ended the year with the 59 consecutive scoreless innings, one more than Drysdale's record -- and then came out and gave up a run in the first inning of the first game of the 89 season, ending the streak.

Webb's got a shot at it, but I'm not going to get too excited until he pitches another shutout next time out.

went to the braves game the other night when he pitched....put on an absolute show. i dont think he threw one pitch that was over 91 mph.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got the loss today. The Brewers are destroying Arizona right now.
