Unfortunately, Brandon's mother passed recently and his father has had a hard time finding a job. Luckily Brandon's dad was able to find a job in Southern California and the article mentions how important it is to keep the family close. Interesting to see where this goes.

I doubt he'll go to USC. Remember, he was mentioning how disgusted he was Orgeron trying to get him to go to USC the night they left.

Is it just me or is there no mention of USC in the article? There was a brief period during Kiffin's departure where he was thinking about going to UCLA. I wouldn't automatically assume he's a Trojan yet and there was at least *talk* that he was pretty pissed about the whole thing with Kiffin/Orgeron.

And Aaron Douglas stood up to the coaching staff...right?

Sounds like Brandon and BB have similar family issues. Both of them would be well served to remove themselves from the teat.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but unlike an already enrolled Aaron Douglas, Brandon Willis had a chance to just go with Kiffin and sign with USC prior to Signing Day to completely avoid this transferring mess.

The fact that he didn't do that coupled with his interest in UCLA leads me to believe that he's not going to be a Trojan.

from twitter:
jcshurburtt: RT @TonyMorrellGCI: Despite Davis saying Brandon Willis is headed to a school in Cal to be with his dad, I am told he is headed to #Vols.

He'd have to sit out if he were released. If Butch won't release him (and why would he?) then the best we could hope for would be a year in Juco and then enroll next fall. Then he'd have 4 to play 4.

He could still transfer here and use his redshirt and still have four to play four. Butch has some controversy surrounding his program with the NCAA investigation, releasing him would be the least of his worries.

Was there some speculation that coaches tried to pay Corey Miller to play for UNC?

That is actually a very good point, and my post wasn't directly at you even though I quoted you. It was more about message board rumors and their validity
