The hottest report in business circles is that Home Depot co-founder and multimillionaire Arthur Blank is buying the Atlanta Braves from AOL. Blank already owns the Atlanta Falcons

I pray daily that my Braves will somehow get out from under AOL. The Braves have been hamstrung ever since Turner Sports was bought by AOL.

It was so much more fun when Ted went into each season with an open checkbook.

I liked Ted much more before he got on the wagon. My favorite Ted memory is when he challenged Rupert Murdoch to a boxing match with the stakes being looser leaves the USA forever.

He definitely takes eccentric to a whole new level. He had an ego to match his bank account.

Hmmm? Very interesting. :clapping: How much more money will be available to get more quality players to compete with the likes of the Yankees?

Braves have been "capped" by AOL at around $80 million the last 3 years. That sounds like a lot of money, but it's moved the Braves from a top spending team to somewhere closer to the middle of the pack.
