This year for those people that live in the South, every Braves game has been on TV on TBS, ESPN, SportSouth, and FSN South. Will every game next year be on TV because the Braves will no longer be on TBS? Will SportSouth and FSN South have every game?

The way I understand it, a ton of games should still be available on FSN or Sportsouth and a greatly reduced number of games will still be on TBS, but only shown locally.

I get every single Braves game on cable! I have watched every single Braves game this year. They always come on SportSouth and FSN South and TBS.

This is bad because I cant even get most of their games on sportsouth.

Yeah, I have TimeWarner Digital Cable, and I don't get SS.
This sucks. It's been getting harder and harder to watch Braves games, and now they're going to lose a lot of future generations of fans b/c they're not on television. That's the main reason I became a fan - b/c I could watch nearly every single game since I was 5 years old.

Once Ted Turner sold off TBS and the Braves to Time Warner, it was pretty inevitable that this would happen at some point. Basically, the Braves are going to revert back to being like everyone else with their TV deal. I guess we should just be happy the ride lasted as long as it did.

Aren't the Braves the only team with that kind of deal? Do the Cubs have a local station that broadcasts the games that WGN doesn't carry?

This could refer to both the TV situation and to some of the current problems with the roster...

Sad, but true.

Was a great treat to be able to count on a Braves game always being on, especially in the 90's when they had the big 3 pitching. I'd switch back and forth between the dodger game (vin scully) and the Braves(skip caray) game. Good memories.

As much as I like Chip Caray, I really love hearing his dad Skip calling the Braves games. Skip Caray and Pete Van Wieren were the best tandem I have ever heard. I used to hate the Braves being on FSN/SportsSouth, but they got Joe Simpson and John Sciambi over there now and they do a really good job with the games.

Thankfully, Skip and Pete still do the radio broadcasts, so I still get to hear them all the time.

FSN really made a major improvement bringing in Sciambi and Simpson. Rathbun and Gant/Paciorek/Torborg were tough to listen to at times.

Oh man, Rathburn/Gant/Paciorek/Torborg were absoultely un-listenable. That was horrible. Sciambi and Simpson do a really good job on FSN and SS.

Doesn't Mark Lemke do some radio as well?

Lemke occasionally does color commentary and does the pre and post game shows on the Braves Radio Network.

While we're on the subject . . . The combo of Gant/Jordan on the TV studio show for FSN/Sportsouth is rough.

Yeah, Gant and Jordan weren't made for TV, that's for sure. That Jurenovich guy, who hosts the show, does a good job, but Gant and Jordan just are not good TV guys, at all.

I feel sorry for Gant. He's a good looking guy and he has a good voice, but he says some really awkward stuff.

Jordan is all around just not very good.

Off subject, but isn't Jeff Blauser the manager of the Double A team, the Mississippi Braves?

I think he has managed them in the past. But I think the Mississippi Braves manager is that guy that freaked out a couple of weeks ago and stole all the bases as he got ejected. That definitely wasn't Blauser.
