Who thinks 1 (or all) of these guys go pro after this year? Which one is most likely to enter the draft?

I know this season is still young and it's early to look ahead to 2013, but I can't help but look forward a little bit. If all 3 go pro, which direction does our offense go? Who steps up? Who will the leaders be?

Neither one is NFL ready.
I disagree. Hunter & CP are both NFL ready....easily. Bray obviously needs some polishing, but he's still possibly a late 1st/early-mid 2nd round pick.

This thread isn't about whether or not these guys are nfl ready, or if they need another year of college ball. It's about if they all 3 decide to go pro after this year, what will be Tennessee's offensive identity in 2013?

we will have to start over and just have a game managing qb with a good run game. and kick butt defense. basically we will be alabama of the east.

Tyler Bray:
Florida: 2 TD's, 2 INT's, 50% COMP.
Georgia: 2 TD's, 3 INT's, 1 FUM, 53% COMP.

Now, in what world do you fools live in that you believe that Bray is going pro? At best he'd be lucky to be drafted. Horrible against decent competition and is just not mentally tough yet. I just don't get where you guys are coming from with these topics. At best Bray is a 5th rounder, Hunter is a 3rd rounder if the scouts don't actually watch the film from the last few games...and Patterson? Won't even get drafted this year...You guys need to watch college football more and not just Tennessee football.

IMO...now this is just an opinion...if the coaching stayed the same, we will not win a game the following year. not one win.

Bray had 2 balls in the Florida game that should have been INT's, and 1 last night Hunter saved his but by playing DB to prevent them . Bray showed me something in the 2ND quarter last night that made me get off his back and it's the first time i saw it. He fired up his Team, The defense and the offense he walked the whole bench telling them to keep fighting. The fumble I would never hold against him, it happens to all QB's he was trying his hardest to make a play .This o-line played well, except I don't understand why so many are standing around watching after the RB goes in the hole, lol Most O-line run up and push the pile or try to knock defenders off the RB ,many plays they stood and watched ,lol

Some Vols fans vastly overrate these guys. Bray is exactly like Ainge--and Ainge ain't in the NFL. You need more than a good arm to make it in the NFL--you need smarts and mobility and toughness. And even Bray's strong arm may raise questions as his three-quarters throwing motion is not ideal.

Hunter has good hands and definite pro potential but needs to get stronger. Patterson has definite pro size/athleticism but he's very raw and not sure about his hands. They could certainly be drafted fairly high based on their athleticism--but are they first-round guys? First-rounders are expected to make a serious impact--and I don't think either receiver is quite ready to do that in the NFL. That said, we should be getting the ball more to Patterson while he's here. Three/four touches is not enough.

Ah! Another thread for people who lie under rocks like snakes ready to ambush our players at the first opportunity.

2 may go.... But all 3 should return for their development..nobody would turn down the money if presented the same oppuntunity.

I agree 100% with your opinion. I've been yelling this!

Here are the factors that I believe play into whether any of them go pro.
1. Money: Do they need it? I mean everybody could use a million dollar contract but do they NEED it.
2. Injury scare: Hunter had his injury so he has this more than the other two. If he comes back and blows a knee he goes from early 2nd to ???
3. Dooley's status: I think all three believe in Dooley and the direction we want to go.(I know sometimes we are not headed there as quickly as anyone would like but the philosophical direction.) If we go 8-4, get bowl game momentum they could rally together and decide they have unfinished business in the SEC.(like Barkley and crew in LA)
4. Strike while the iron is hot: If we run off a good end of the season, it could play negatively for them to come back. 500yds total offense against Vandy, KY each and a bowl win could just impress people more(justified or not) and have them getting pumped about great draft position.
The argument on here seems to be are they ready or not? I got news for you. 75% of the guys that go each year are not ready just like even a 5star kid out of high school isn't always ready for the SEC. QB & skill positions are drafted on potential. Bray looks like a potential starting QB with some more weight on him and in an offense that likes to pass 2 out of 3 downs. CP and Hunter are WRs and the league is drafting and signing WRs at an all-time rate because it is a QB/Pass Offense league now. Scouts look at CP's run against UGA and instantly think they can make him a pro bowler. Hunter makes plays on deep balls that will make him money for years in the NFL. The deep ball is like a dunk in basketball. Doesn't happen a lot in games but when it does it just makes things different, so it is lauded by many.

none of them need to. hunter will cause he couldn't keep it in his pants.

You know, I have seen you use the "keep it in his pants" line in 2 different threads. I know he has a lot to lose. JH has been a shining star and an example of how I wish our players would behave. So what, he likes sex and impregnated his girlfriend and had a baby. When you say keep it in his pants, you sound like an 80 year old pastor trying be be condescending to a group of teenagers. You are not funny. JH could have went to the Olympics and has freakish talent and based on that alone he is a current first round pick and I wish him the best. This kid has played for us during one of this roughest patches of bad football ut has ever seen and has represented very well. He has given his all for Tennessee, let's wish him well.

They will all leave. They're not going to win the SEC next season or sniff a BCS Bowl game even if they come back and none of them are born and bred diehard Big Orange guys. What's the point in returning and risking injury?

(for our team's sake) I mean he had four tournovers himself. Two in the last two possesions. I say bench him. This is now the Florida and Georgia games, what else do we need to see

Only problem is we've got nobody better. If we did, they'd be starting.

That would be my guess as well, with CP being 50/50 depending on what happens the rest of the way. Bray still looks raw and could make himself some money with another year of college.
Yeah i agree Bray needs another year.. Hunter may go becasue of the knee... I don't know what CP will do... He needs to find a set of hands if he's going pro.....
