Saw the Dooley show and picked up on how dissapointed 0he was in Bray and wondered how everyone thought he compared to other SEC Qb's. He's not Johnny Football for sure. I've watched several Ole Miss games and though that Wallace kid has several int's he's played with heart and guts. Which makes me wonder wher we would be if we 0had him instead of Bray?

I am more impressed with what Hugh Freeze did in his first year with much less talent. Will finish with the same if not better record than us.

65 years of following the VOLS Tyler Bray is right down on the bottom. Every game that was aganst a team that had fight he choked. He will never move to the NFL. I hope he got a good education. Zero leadership, classless punk.

A classless punk like you? You all would get along great then.

Two years ago I was high on this kid. He needs to mature. A lot. He has an arm and some instincts.

What people are failing to realize is Bray was going on the field every time knowing he had to score to keep his team in the game. That is a ton of pressure knowing game in and game out it's all on your shoulders. If our Defense had not been as horrendous Bray would have played better in my opinion.

Bray has talent but he is so immature and may never have what it takes mentally to be a true leader and champion. But he could prove me and many others wrong with the right coach.

I think it's pretty brutal to call someone that you probably haven't ever met a "classless punk." He's one of the reasons we were even close in most of these games to begin with but hey let's ignore that and just look at the W-L column because the QB is fully responsible for every problem on the team. Am I saying he's perfect? Not by any means, but without him we would be even two more wins back from where we are now.

Also I hope Bray goes to the NFL one day and succeeds just like every other player that chooses to devote himself to football at the University of Tennessee.

They would not of been in any close games had Worley started instead of bray.
We will never know if that is true or not, but I think that the hurry up, sling it down the field, quick strike offense gave more possessions to the other side which helped to wear down our defense, and make them look even worse than they were.

You might be surprised if we had run more, taken our time, and dinked it down the field with Worley. We had way too many 3rd and 10's and 12's with the offense we used, and only a minute or two off the clock.

Remember last Christmas when someone posted a story on here about Bray buying some random kid a hat at Lids because he didn't have enough money? Then signed it for him. What a punk.

I'll acknowledge that he has a cannon for an arm, had to play behind a OL that has learned on the job for 3 years, has had no consistent RB until this year (and only partially so...), has played the tune of a very predictable OC....

with that said....

Why in the world does he go 25+ yards down field (which has a low completion percentage) on many 3rd downs requiring 5-9 yards for a 1st down?

He is waaaayy too impatient and not willing to dink and dunk his way to a victory. That strategy doesn't seem sexy enough and doesn't showcase his abilities I guess. With that mentality, he'll get bounced quickly in the NFL.

He needs to remember to "take what the defense gives you".

I think we all know that Tyler Bray would have been a far better QB with the right coaches. Remember plays like the 3rd and a foot or so to go against State and we throw it 40 yards down field. The QB did not call that play. How much of a let down was it for out players against Missouri with 2 time outs and 40 seconds left in the game and the coaches simply let the clock run out and go to OT and eventually lose the game. Our coaches put too many of these situations on our players backs for any QB to have been successful at UT especially the past season. Tyler Bray, like any other 18 year old, could certainly use better judgement at times but, let us remember, He did not have to come to the University of Tennessee. He could have skipped out with Lane but he chose to stay and play for the Vols. IMO, we will see a different Tyler Bray next year with a good coach. And to close, I would never call anyone a Punk, especially one that I've never met and certainly don't know. Thanks Tyler for staying with your College selection and thanks for playing your heart out for a program that We VOLS love.

Bray is a great qb when there is no pressure, but when the game is on the line or he is forced to move the least bit he is horrible. I hope he leaves and CP stays.

Bray is an extremely talented QB physically. Mentally he is one of the worst. I blame that on the coaches partially.

What other SEC QB could have done more for UT besides johnny FB and the Bama QB? Seems to me the Wallace kid would have brought more. I agree with poster that Freeze is going to turn heads. His ofense with that little talent played better week in and week out!

Bray is the best pure QB in the country. He just needs a real coach to teach him.

This was Chaney's offense playing to the strength of Tyler Brays arm and his wide receivers. Like most of the rest of the posts we would have been blown out in several games that we were in without Tyler bray. Did anybody watch the 6 games last season without bray? Ok then offense atrocious
