Some of these teams schedule the same OOC opponent each year, i.e. UGA/GT, FL/FSU, SC/Clem. If the teams that you're scheduling are crap, then does this list really have a purpose or point, other than just being a "stat?"

Edit: not that those regularly scheduled OOC rival games are always crap--they're not. I'm just curious as to what this list is supposed to be implying, really.

Vandy/Wake may be the deal-of-the-day.

Kentucky has only played Louisville? I would have figured some big name school would have called on them to be an early season whipping boy. Texas A&M was also a surprise.

Texas A&M should be ashamed.

So should Vandy. Remember that Franklin begged out of the Ohio St and Northwestern games and pretty much plays Wake Forest every year....to go along with UMass, Elon, Presbyterian...

This isn't going to change a thing for most schools. Most have a permanent major conference rivals outside the SEC anyway. Tennessee does not but it's not like we don't play a major conference team every year. Seems like it is only really hurting Vandy and the Miss schools. I will give A & M a pass as they are new to the conference. LSU seems upset though. They don't want to play Florida every year anymore and were hoping the permanent game from the East would get dropped. Funny they are whining about something Tennessee has worse than them. That is one thing you have to give The Vols, we can look at anyone complaining about a tough schedule and say "your cute" year in and year out.

Ole Miss did just play a home and home with Texas (winning big in Austin last year) while Miss St played Oklahoma St...That OOC scheduling rule will only impact Vandy (who will just put Wake Forest back on the schedule).

Since all the SEC schools will be scheduling annual OOC teams here is a good one for us....Nebraska....That would be a fun annual game...The Big Red vs The Big Orange...Both stadiums would pack the place for that game...Might make for a good rivalry

Honestly, if Nebraska's starting an annual OOC game, I feel it more needs to be with one of their old major rivals: either Oklahoma or Missouri (the latter was a trophy game - they played for the Victory Bell. It was also the rivalry during which the famous "flea-kicker" happened.).

Both those teams were major rivals for Nebraska, the regular playing of which ended once the Cornhuskers left the Big 12 for the Big 10.

Wasn't Miss St's OK State game mainly just a result of being invited to a kickoff classic? Or had it previously been scheduled prior to that?
