Breaking Down the Numbers Season By Season

I've been a reader for a while, and have been on several of the "Fulmer" based threads. This is not an argument either way on bringing the man back, only trying to separate the revisionist history from facts.

Bringing the man back as coach or not, people really blur the lines between facts and opinions when making bold statements about sports. This spreadsheet is to sort of help bring some facts to the table.

I apologize to the mods if this shouldn't be a separate thread, but considering the nature of the next few days and what will likely be the topic of some talk shows, these numbers may be somewhat interesting to those that do not want to sort thru 100's of pages in those long drawn out threads that are more like chat-rooms than conversations.

So here it is. Fulmer's numbers. Wins/Losses. Final Rankings. Recruiting Ranks. etc. All broken down season by season. I've seriously considered doing another one breaking down the recruiting numbers and some other info, but... Just wanted to get this one out there first.

Also, the reason I highlighted the difference between With Cutcliffe and Without is because that seems to be a hot point for a lot of people on here. And.... other than that God Awful season with Clawson, the winning percentage actually wouldn't be TOO far off. This is going strictly by wins, losses, and percentages.

I think most people focus on WHO Fulmer lost to, not the amount. An SEC win/loss table would be helpful.

I think fulmer needed to go.

I think bringing fulmer back is a bad idea.

But, it's time people get a grip on reality. The fulmer "down" years were better than the average 6 year or so run at tennessee since integration.

Since 1970, Tennessee has a losing record vs. Florida, Alabama, Lsu, and auburn. They are 1 game above. 500 against Georgia.

So, phil gets compared to something that doesnt match reality
