I think 'bama's intolerance for anything short of SECCG within first 60 days of employment is starting to backfire...

they will find a coach, the money they thow at him, 2-3 million/year, they will find someone. But good luck luring an employed, successful, coach to that program of unrealistic expectations.

The rumour is that Mal Moore is going to offer the gig to RichRod today. Next on the list is Wake coach Grobe. I do not understand why they would keep offering the job to people who have said they do not intend to relocate.

i'll take this one:

the standard bammer answer:

"because we're Alabama"

they still think they are a factor nationally, and a premier football program worthy of consideration from any potential candidate. i truly think they think there are people lining up to take that job and it's just a matter of them "chosing" which one they want.

and that's just not the case any more.

What I don't get is how small the talent pool seems to be. Every time I look for some kind of list of real prospects from people, there are only three or four names. Someone whom nobody is even mentioning would probably be a great coach for them, but who is he?

It is very odd that no one is talking about the mid major coaches from out west who were all the rage last year. I will not be surpised of Bama is still coach shopping in January waiting to see if they can pick up an NFL reject.

My dog hasn't yet, but that is only because I refuse to let them talk to him. :dance2:

If you're talking about Saban, that's not new news. If the post is more general, in that, they can't find a coach, then hhahahahah~!
