Was going through a stack of old CD's and dug up this gem - "Lapalco" by Brendan Benson. This album is fantastic, and Brendan Benson has to be among the greatest, most overlooked artists of our generation. Here's a good cut, "Metarie" although it's different than the one from the album.

I like his song song Cold Hands Warm Heart. He's hardly overlooked though.

He is over here at least. Never heard him on the radio, I don't think I personally know anybody who knows about him.

His new album comes out Aug 18. Word is he'll later be recording a duet album with Knoxville's very own Ashley Monroe, who if you remember did a very good cover of the Raconteurs "Old Enough" with Ricky Skaggs.
