While we're just throwing out names, I wondered what people would think of Bielema. Doesn't bring in great classes yet manages to win and has his system that he recruits guys for. His Wisconsin teams probably wouldn't win the SEC but its relative because he's not competing against SEC talent currently. My one worry would be recruiting though especially after his run in with Urban last year and his belief in a so called gentleman's agreement. He'd have to be cut throat here and not expect others to back off once a kid commits to him. Two BCS bowls and average of 10 wins a season speaks volumes to me when he's bringing in an average class around 50-60.

I would go for him if for no other reason than his offensive mentality. He always builds up one of the biggest and best offensive lines in college football, no matter what conference you're from. His offenses are awesome, especially the running game, and usually his defenses are competent. Wisconsin is a very hard place to recruit at because there is not much talent grown instate. When Barry Alvarez took over as the Badgers' head coach in 1990, his strategy was to get the biggest and best linemen from instate and the skill position players from out of state. Joe Thomas, Gabe Carimi, and Peter Konz are just some of the offensive linemen who are currently playing pro ball right now. Add to that that you had Ron Dayne and now soon Montee Ball who will/will have played pro ball, and that's a pretty enduring legacy in my mind.

Let's not forget, too, that Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback for Seattle, and he was Wisconsin's starting QB for a year. He's a really special player. So anyone who thinks that just because a guy coached in the Big East or the Big Ten that they can't cut it in the SEC, they're dead wrong.

Not implying he'd leave, and doubted he'd ever leave the Midwest. Just wondering what people's reaction would be, if you woke up tomorrow and he was being introduced.

No, no, and no. Seems to be a very good coach but not professional. Runs up the score, and run ins with other coaches. Don't like his offensive style either. I would rather have Kirby.
