I heard from a source (maybe volquest or talk radio) about a week ago that Fulmer was trying to get Smith another year of eligibility.

Does anyone have an update on that?

Would be great, but will be tough. Usually if you are gonna get a player RS for medical reasons you need to act closer to the year in question.
