I am cheering on washington just because I have family out there. Pretty area. Nice campus.

I'm not completely shocked. A motivated, fired up UW team playing in it's first bowl in 8 years after having won 3 in a row (including 2 squeakers... one over a rival) just to get there. A deflated, playing for nothing in a disappointment of a bowl game Nebraska with a banged up QB. This had upset alert written all over it. In big block letters.

I still didn't think that was enough to make up for the disparity in talent,

Yeah, my exact prediction was "It will be close and UW will fight to the last second but Nebraska pulls it out cause they are just better."

Still. Not totally shocked they pulled it off. Motivation is such a huge part of bowl games. And this was a classic case of "thrilled with their chance, massively motivated, overperforming team" against "demoralized, underachieving squad that doesn't want to be there."

Get real, this is the most stunning bowl result in years. Washington couldn't hold Nebraskas jock earlier this season.

I'll remain not shocked.

Nebraska didn't give a damn. It was the Super Bowl for UW. It showed on the field.

I just don't think Bo Pelini is that great. Seems like Nebraska has lowered its standards with him. Frank Solich was fired for three loses.
