I am legitimately shocked. And there's not a lot that shocks me anymore.

I feel for the students more than anybody right now.

Why would he do that? What good does he think is gonna come from this?

Im familiar to a point with the story but with the lawsuit is he trying to say he got fired and didn't know anything about what was going on?

Horrible move on his part. And I don't want him anywhere near a UT sideline.

Question though... does he have a valid case?

I have not looked much into it, and just wonder if maybe he has legitimate points?

It's hard to know since Baylor's report was not in writing. It is possible that Baylor's board pinned a bunch of lies on Briles, but doing so would be pouring gasoline on a garbage fire. Given the number of players who weren't only accused, but in fact faced charges and were convicted, it's very hard to imagine that Briles was unaware of the problem.

Well I guess they will have to put something in writing now right?

Briles brought in those players...so he should be held accountable for them he never did anything....he thought as long as he kept winning he would be alright...whoops....he will not win this lawsuit...and no one is going to hire him as a coach again

If Briles wasn't unhirable before, wouldn't that mean he was hirable before? (double negatives, you know)

His biggest fan was the Daddy Warbucks Houston booster...couldn't get an interview...unhireable.

There are a handful of places that would probably hire Briles today if they had an opening. Auburn comes to mind.

The original post said something like "......Briles wasn't unhirable....." That is a double negative.

Another double negative would be, "The man was not unhealthy." That means the man WAS healthy.

Another example, "The road was not unsafe." That means the road WAS safe.

So again, if Briles was not unhirable, then that means he WAS hirable.

simple English grammar

Holy crap what a fail. Try thinking a little before critiquing someone's grammar.
