whats eveyones thoughts on this freshman!! i have watched him during the games when he is out there and it looks like the boy is wide open every play!! Now i know he made a rookie mistake!! in one game!! but he has had on 19 yard catch i think and during the sc game he was over thrown or he would have had another good catch!! To me may sound crazy but he is the best looking reciever out there and gives 100 percent!! he is the only one i can recall diving for a catch!

Maybe Ainge needs to start passing to him....a receiver who catches and actually bumps that completion ratio everyone's harping about....

I know that he looked good in the orange and white game and I thought that he would see a lot of playing time, but we haven't seen much of him yet. That will change I'm sure.

Briscoe wasn't as highly rated as some of the other guys during recruiting, but I think he's going to be a good one!

There is one question I have to ask about our receivers: Do they know how to dive and/or extend their arms when trying to catch a ball? I have never seen a bunch of receivers who either have no idea what it is to extend their arms or dive after a passed ball. The old motto applies here: If you can touch it, then you can catch it. Maybe if they start doing this, we will see more caught balls. What a novel idea, isn't it?

Dive???? With Ainge at QB he needs to be able to Jump!!!!

That should be the case. But sadly it isn't. This year our recievers need to get horizontal.

with as much time in the pocket as ainge had, they should have been open all day.

and are we running any routes with a tight end? the TE really mixes up the linebackers assignments and creates a lot more room for our receivers.

That's been a big problem with the receivers in addition to dropping balls (no pun intended there).

They seem to run their basic routes and show no effort to break away to get open. Then when the ball comes their way they show little effort to meet it or lunge for it.

Someone should tell Briscoe and others if they catch the ball they can keep playing. If you drop it, you're riding the bench. Bench equals no stats thus no chance at looking good for the NFL.
