Bristol announcement question?

I'm in Bristol till Tuesday and was wondering if anybody knew if the press conference on Monday was open to the public? Tried looking on their website and there's no details.

Have been out of touch lately, so sorry if I'm late. That said, I ran in to the Associate AD of V-Tech down here in Disney World, he told me about the announcement yesterday.

I doubt they'd run you off. Be respectful and polite and you can probably stick around. Just be cool.

I would love to know if it is public also...I am not a big Nascar fan but a football game between the VOLS and Hokies at that massive stadium will be epic and I would love to drop in for it to be announced!!!

For those of you with more inside info than others on the subject please share it with us!!!!

It's probably in the Burton Smith Bldg. I think the top floor is the hospitality room. The media center is in the infield. It's prolly one or the other.

It's Monday at 11, per their site (I assume that's what the "major announcement" they mention is about). That's about all I got

If the announcement is held on the track they will let you observe from way off. You can access the track between turns 2 and 3 on the backstretch. If it's in the Bruton Smith building you won't get to go to it.

I thought the gift shop was in the Burton Smith bldg. I would think you could get in...getting to the press conference may be tough.

If the announcements on the track and they let you observe "way off" will you be able to see anything?

The drawn up pic on utsports.com for the stream looks even worse than I imagined. you are nowhere near the game.

While the speedway is an awesome place to watch a race I think it will suck as a football venue. A football field will look tiny in that place. Only upside for going would be to be part of the largest crowd deal.
