Does anyone else think that Brodie Croyle's lack of mobility is going to make it harder for Bama to put points up against the Vols? I saw so many times that our pass rush looked weak against UGA but I know that was largely due to trying to keep Shockley in the pocket. Obviously, that will not be such a problem with Croyle.

Croyle is the only QB we have faced this season, that doesnt pose any containment "threat". I think Chief will be aggressive and turn the Hounds loose, force him to make mistakes and pick himself up alot.
We MUST keep the underneath/safety valve in check.

I think Croyle and Mahelona will be on a first name basis before the game is over. "Hey Jessie, good to see you...again. Will you help me pick up my spleen before you head back for the huddle?"

Could pose a problem for us...Brodie's not the most fleet of foot. He'll have to pick up the hot read fast...he won't have much time back there.

I think Croyle's immobility is the most significant weakness in Bammer's Offense. I think we will get to him hard and often. Hopefully, he will not be injured but he has proven very fragile and injury prone.

If Croyle goes down and out early, it could be a long game for Bammer. As I understand it, only a very unprepared Freshman waits on the sideliine to take over when and if Croyle is carried or limps off the field.

Our defense has been licking it's chops to face an offense with a pocket passer. I would be very afraid Bama. TN is a wounded dog and the only reason it lives now is to crush Croyle, and then die.

I was going to do the point and laugh at JR's post. Oh well, we will have a field day with Brittle. I hope we do get aggressive and send "the pain train, woo-woo"!!!!!

It all depends on Bama's OLine. They have done well so far but yall have the best D we have faced. The matchups worry me a bit. That Mahelona kid is hell on wheels. I don't think we can keep him away from Brodie. One thing though - Brodie thinks fast and makes decent reads. On top of that we have Darby who will be following Castille or McClain who arew loads - that will help. I see Bama running 1st.

Croyle will not look all world like he did in the UF game. UT will get more and quicker pressure on him...plus I dont think the secondary will break down as bad as UF did on those two long TD passes.

I agree. I think Brodie just needs to manage the game, exploit something if he can and give the ball to Darby. I hate to think that he may be too pumped to get the UT monkey off his back and try to make too much happen. That could be more of an issue than his lack of mobility.

I'm kinda hoping we can score a little more then just 10 points. I'm looking for 24 points, Bama 17

Well I don't see yall scoring more than 10 points. I think 10 is a number yall should be happy with. If yall wanna score, yall better do it in the first half. Our first string defense has allowed 10 points in the second half all year. 3 of those were on a field goal set up by a blocked punt and the other 7 were on a long touchdown run where our CB was out of position. The defense hasn't allowed a single point in the 3rd quarter all season. I see UT's D-line giving us some problems. Our O-line has played well but they are young and inexperienced. I see Mahelona and company getting to Brodie a good bit but I'm confident that he'll be ok. He's a senior QB who is smart enough to make good decisions when under pressure. Plus, he takes a lot of quick 3 step drops and then fires. I look for him to do that a lot more in this game considering the D-line of UT. We will definitely try to establish the running game first which will be very difficult but Darby is the SEC's leading rusher so maybe we can get something going. I have wavered on my final score a bit but I think the result will still be the same. Bama 20 UT 10.

I didn't see alot of things this year, that did keep it from happening either. LSU didn't think we could put points on the board either. This is a big time game and I'm hoping CPF and company will bring a big time game plan to put points on the board. But I guess we could talk it to death, let's let the teams play and when the dust settles we will see what points are on the score board.
