LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky reserve Ramel Bradley, one of the team's best 3-point shooters, broke his hand during practice, and it is unclear how long he will be out.

The sophomore guard slammed his hand against a basket support after a poor play Monday and was to be evaluated again Tuesday, school spokesman Scott Stricklin said.

Bradley is fourth on the team in scoring. He has made 14-of-28 3-pointers in the last 11 games.

we care cause he is a rather good reserve, starts behind rondo or sparks and gets lots of playing time. this would be like if jujuan smith or asumnu went down for us.

he averages a little more than a 3pointer a game in the last 11 games, thats more like a Jordan Howell

Even if he's not scoring, he's obviously good enough to play...
Howell isn't as good as Watson, but he plays so that Watson can breathe. Howell CAN score though.

What KY has been put in is extra playing time for the staters, or else playing time period for low-caliber guys..

That's my take on it

This is a big loss for KY who are trying to get in the NCAA.
For the season Bradley is avergaing 18.2 minutes per game and 8.3 points per game. This will mean more minutes for the the starters at the guard postion especially for Sparks who is getting 26 minutes a game.

FYI:
Howell is only averaging 7.7 minutes and 1.9 points per game for Howell.

Howell is a terrible scorer, he has made what one shot all year, 3/4s of his shots dont even get rim they just clank off the backboard or miss the goal all together. Howell is a terrible player, and can't shoot at all. Did you catch him accidently passing to Buzz Peterson on the sideline during a game, yeah hes terrible

if he is a reserve why do we care
I want to see some more out Bradshaw. Hes white and he cant rally shoot so whats he doin with all the pplaying time. That just shows the depth of our bench. Wingate has got to step up against Florida and Kentucky. Lofton has got to get open. He can shoot and everyone knows it. He can't pass up shots even if hes not 100% on.

Bradshaw is a scrappy player and rebounds very well. His shot is awful though unless he is shooting a layup. He can also control the ball this year, unlike last when he was all over the place and had lots of turnovers. Lofton does need to shoot more, but has to get the ball more before he can do that. He can pop a 3 from anywhere no matter who is in his face. He is money 90% of the time.

He cant shoot but he does stuff you dont notice, like leading the teams in rebounds, he does all the hustle work you dont notice. He may be our most valuable player next to Lofton or Watson. I think Bradshaw may be able to score when he gets the ball, he can hit threes when he needs to. He scored 24 pts against Memphis when the rest of our team was choking. As for Wingate, I think he may be a lost cause, if anyone saw his play against Alabama, it was the worst play by a center i've seen in about 15 years.

Wingate needs some copetition. he has missed 2 many lay ups and is not averaging near the points he should have. He shoots the ball 1 foot from the basketball and averages 3 times less points than Loften shooting from the arc or well behind.

Besides being a 6'4" PF in the SEC leading the #11 ranked team in the nation in rebounds and being the inspiration this season. Or being able to bring the ball up the floor if others need to get a rest. He also has made a couple of assists this season.

And he did all this while having to deal with LIO stalking him, amazing! :biggrin2:

He doesn't need more competition, he needs more practice. He is fairly large, but doesn't use his size as much as he could. Patterson is outrebounding him in about all of our games and most of the time even outscoring him, when he smaller than him. Patterson is aggressive and physical unlike Wingate.

Just becasue he is white you question his ability? So you wont question someone with the same stats and ability if he were not white. I guess some look at skin color as a basis for playing time. Rediculous.

I'm guessing some people (not you brg) here have yet to see a bball game (UT at least) or read a box score. Some of these comments are insane.
