UPDATE 1-New U.S. senator helps Democrats advance jobs bill | Reuters

I just don't understand why people are shocked by this. Comments on these articles, his Facebook, etc. are all getting trashed by negative comments toward his votes. Tea Party types are even more vocal saying they helped put him in office and he betrayed them. Anyone not seeing this coming needs to go back to the rock they've been living under.

Not much of a surprise really. He'll probably oppose 50% of the Dem agenda, but that's about it.

Anyone in elected office with an R and from New England has to be expected to vote with the Dems. The thing is he said he would vote this way on many issues but yet still people are weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth that Brown "betrayed" them.

That's why I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw a bunch of them use the word "presidential candidate" with him... I knew at best we would get a McCain at worst a Snow. Grab your popcorn this should be fun.

I don't have a problem with him supporting it eventhough Reid pulled a fast one.

On the plus side:

It's only 15 billion - barely a blip for Congress these days

It has payroll tax exemptions for new hires.

I'd rather they do these in small targeted approaches then massive (see House's 150 billion) bills.

Pretty much, he'll vote for obamacare!

He ran his campaign on oppostion to obamacare, I doubt that.

Actually he only voted to end debate, which would have passed without him, nhe needs to be seen as supportive of more jobs to maintain his voter base.

About the same as I think of Romney.

And it hasn't even been passed yet.

Oh I agree with this 100%. I just thought it was crazy back in January when he won that alot of the right really thought they got a 100% red conservative. And to add to that insanity, it seems a fair amount of them are screaming from the rooftops about his "betrayal."
