I think one of the best plays of his season happened last night, and it was subtle. Midway in the first quarter, After a fine first down run off the left edge, Small got smacked hard and had the ball knocked out of his hands into live play. All I saw were white jerseys around the play, and here comes Bru out of nowhere to dive on the ball and maintain possession. We turn the ball over there in that early phase of the game and they score as a result, the momentum swing could have been enormous. Such a hustle play that is so typical of him and may have quietly kept our season on track. Love ya Bru, get well soon, and we’re all gonna miss seeing you out there the rest of the year.

I saw that too and thought “man I’m glad he’s on our side”. 😔

Yeah I think that will be the big loss for him. He is who Milton went to when he needed a 1st down, etc. Big hole to fill by someone.

Reminds me of the same thing where Jalen Hurd saved a loss to Apply State in the end zone.

I’d trade this win to have him back healthy, hell of a competitor and seemingly all-around great teammate. Hate to see this for him, and a big loss for this team.
