Bruce Pearl and All the kings men

I was watching the movie All The Kings Men the other day and it dawned on me that the story line of the movie reminds me of Coach Pearl. Hear me out on this.... Gov. Willie Stark went to office to stop the corruption in government but got caught up in the same corruption that he faught against. Coach Pearl early in his career snitched out a coach for cheating in recruiting but got caught up in the same corruption as of cheating, lying to the NCAA etc.

CBP did not stand on soap boxes and scream string em up. Nor did he start coaching to rid the evil from the NCAA.

The only similarity with the movie ( I love the book btw) is that they both wear suspenders and sweat profusely.
