In retrospect, I wish we would have gone to Xavier this year. That would be a very entertaining game.

I agree. I wonder what the reasoning was for Pearl not wanting to play that game?

Jay Bilas in an espn article previewing the game tonight said that the two men on the sidelines have done the best coaching jobs this year... pearl is doing great

Probably didn't want to overschedule. The games at Texas, Oklahoma State, and Memphis were ambitious enough.

You would think that Xavier game would have been there first though before he started trying to schedule the others.

Referenced him being a whistle blower for cheating at recruiting. Can you imagine how bammers will take that?

They are now gonna say our football AND basketball coach rat people out. Glad our coaches follow the rules and have morals.

True, but the other games were put together for ESPN and CSTV. You've got to take national TV exposure anytime you can get it. Prior to the season, UT-X wouldn't have had any TV appeal.

true, but he scheduled Murray State also (in state game though I guess). I think that was our only other road non-conference game.

Murray State was scheduled to get a "home" game in Nashville. Pearl wants to establish a stronghold in the metro area.
