"‎-- I will preface this by saying that I love the University of Tennessee and the Volunteer pride. That said, I have disappointed not only myself, but you as fans, in my actions involving violations of NCAA rules. I am forever grateful to the fans to let me coach their team. I will be a Volunteer for life!"

If that's not a "Thanks for the memories, I've been let go" goodbye...then I don't know what is.

Will be missed....but this is for the better. Too many dark clouds over the BB program, need to clean house and get a fresh start.

Hmm. Same sad story I've already heard. I like Bruce but seriously, UT needs to come out with it already and lets move on.

Are you sure that's even his Facebook page and not some kind of fake?

Very positive.

Its not letting me link the page, but his page id # is 100001588404849. So go to a friends page, and just put those numbers in, in its place and you should be able to see

wow I am getting that weird feeling in my stomach. kind of like the buyers remorse of wanting Fulmer gone then seeing how it hurt him to let go.

I'll never forget seeing Kiffin on the sidelines against WKU for the first time and just thinking "This is one of the weirdest things of my life." And I was wanting him gone.

Good point. Even last year it was kind of strange not seeing him on the sidelines. Still, it's impossible to argue that it was time for him to go.

It's like letting a woman go that you know loves you, but you know that things aren't going to work out. The tears that they will show while letting them go will hurt at that moment, but if there is a love there, then a mutual friendship can be held without sleeping together. Wish them the best, offer to help in instances when you can, but explain that changes have to be made or everyone is going to be miserable.

i'd like further explanation...

Fulmer's time had just come...but he definitely didn't lie to the 'AA. Call him overweight, call him whatever you want, but he didn't lie (get caught), cry, lie again.

It was time for Fulmer to go, but give him more respect than that.

Pearl took a piss on every single UT fan when he cried and then pulled the bump crap. Those of you who can't see that, you need to wear a helmet 24 hours a day.

One made major violations, one had the game pass him by over the years

that doesnt mean the departure pain can't be just as severe. bruce bought into the knoxville/ut life. mistakes are mistakes, and that's understood...but two difference circumstances doesnt mean that it feels differently. if you're going that route, might as well bring back up how fulmer should've left way earlier than he did.
