Said Maze was benched because he was fatigued and didn't have the legs after playing Thursday night. Said they will continue with his conditioning and mentioned how important it was to come back so quickly and be effective since the NCAA tournament is laid out this way. Pretty sure it was a no brainer to throw Bone in since no one was left.
Either way, I don't think we'll see much attitude from Maze about this decision. I think he hits the gym pretty hard and prepares himself for future situations that allow him to stay in control in games so closely in time. Great game by Bone (more importantly, defense) but I would expect him to see an increase in minutes. Also, glad we picked a team with such poor post play to shoot so badly. Hopefully this gives them confidence when they get down against teams like Miss State and Kentucky (better post play, same or better guard play). I think this next game tells us a lot as we havent hit the road since the seperation of the other players.
