I said it, and it's not just this game.

I'm starting to think that Chris Lofton, JaJaun Smith, and Dane Bradshaw had a lot more to do with reviving the program than Pearl.

No. Pearl definitely energized the program and has given us a profile. Green just inherited some talent and won as little as possible with what he had.

Pearl's style will attract exciting and athletic players. It will win regular season games in big stacks. it will be fun to watch when going well. Green just sucked.

He's a Marketer.

That is all.

he fooled me to begin with, but now i'm starting to see how bad of a coach he really is the last two years.

and i think Lofton was a better player than we thought.

I already knew that Bruce was overrated, I just didn't know how overrated. To me, this game was the tipping point. It's a good thing we have such a terrible OOC schedule, because if this had been of year's past, I shuddered to think how bad it would be.

C.J. Watson needs to be in this discussion as well. However to compare Bruce Pearl to Jerry Green is not such a downer. Green went 89-36 overall and 41-23 within the conference. He was 10 times the coach his successor was, Buzz Peterson. Green took UT to the NCAA 4 times, Peterson 2 NIT bids. Not to mention Peterson went 61-59 overall and an abysmal 29-35 in the SEC. Pearl may not be Roy Williams but he is a whole lot better than what we had before him. Pearl is 105-38 with a 46-18 in SEC play. To say he isn't a solid coach is false.

Players will come to Tennessee because they know they will have zero responsibility on defense and can do whatever they want on offense. They can score 50 or 5 and still play. Common sense.
