It was a really good interview. I thought his comment was interesting that at Tennessee the highs can be too high and the lows can be too low and that is why they have had so much turnover at Tennessee.

It was also cool the way he talked about the other coaches helping him out. All the props for Pat Summitt and the part about getting in a tight spot against Florida and looking up and seeing CPF nodding in his direction telling him he was going to be OK was pretty neat.

I think he said Fulmer told him to "hang in there" and that had a calming effect on him. :lol: Do you think that really happened?

My favorite was "In coaching, if you win too much they worry that you're going to leave and if you lose too much they help you pack your bags."

Why not? He was right behind the bench, so it's not that unbelievable. Either way, it's a good story.

Another good quote was when asked about playing 3rd fiddle at Tennessee behind Football and Women's Baskeball to which Pearl replied...Third? We are like tenth behind baseball, women's softball, soccer, etc.

I am going to try and write up a summary later. I took some notes.

Good . . . I thought about taking some notes, but I assumed you would be conscientious and do it, so I reverted back to being slack. :D

i got in my car after class and thought i heard what sounded like Pearl on the radio. After a few more seconds I realized it was and he was on Jim Rome's show. Great surprise! I dont even listen to Jim Rome, but my radio was still on that station.
