10. Tennessee Volunteers

The departure of Trae Golden this offseason has hurt the Volunteers offensively, which we saw in their season-opening loss at Xavier. But Memphis transfer Antonio Barton fits in nicely with this team and brings the toughness that dimension coach Cuonzo Martin desires from his players. Senior Jeronne Maymon is one of the best passing big men in the country, and junior forward Jarnell Stokes (who averaged a double-double in conference play last season) complements him well in the strongest frontcourt in the SEC.

Jordan McCrae is the most talented offensive wing player in the SEC, and can really score when he gets the green light. The Vols have the depth and experience to finish in the top three of the SEC and make the NCAA tournament, so long as they can adjust to the new rule changes regarding physical play.

Krag, cite that quote! Lol I was so confused, I didn't realize it was Bruce who wrote that analysis as I read it, so the thread title made no sense to me.

I find it funny he doesn't mention any of CCM's recruiting players. Bruce recruited Stokes and Barton while at TN.

Makes no sense Douglas. I'm sure Bruce recruited lots of kids that are now playing for other teams he now covers as an analyst. What's your point? Bruce recruited Stokes and Barton but didn't sign either one of them. It's fine if you're one of the ones that wants to give him credit for Stokes, but there's no way you can say the same for Barton.

On a side note after the Memphis defeat to Oklahoma State last night Memphis fans are conceding Pastner will never get a signature win nor can he coach. Guess whose name has already popped up - yep Bruce Pearl.
