are hurting this team.

Baby Pearl is a serious liability. He can hardly defend, he can't shoot free throws when he does draw a foul, and he is too small to get a rebound.

McBee simply can't hit anything and he is a sub-par defender because he is outmatched physically.

We are going to struggle to finish in the top 3 in the SEC East if we are going to continue to see the same personnel substitution patterns from this staff. There is no reason for us not to be able to go with a three person rotation at PF and C with Chism, Woolridge, and Hall in the 2nd half in these big games.

And there is no reason for Tatum not to be getting Skylar's minutes if he can't shoot. Tatum is as good a three point shooter, a better creator off the dribble, and a more physically gifted defender.

Oh boy! Here we go again. The team has Hopson and Hall with 4 fouls with over 10 minutes to go. Tatum is getting some minutes, but playing basketball at the college level brings with it personal responsibility. Tatum is still paying his dues to get back in the rotation.

What other personnel?

Starting five plus Woolridge, Tatum, McBee and Bone. That's 9 guys. We really need to play 10.

Vandy played 9 guys. 4 of Vandy's players had 4 fouls. we had one guy with 5 and one guy with 4. Woolridge had 0 fouls in the game. He only played 18 minutes. He could have easily played another 7-10 minutes, but 12 minutes went to Baby Pearl.

McBee got 14 minutes. Tatum got 14 minutes.

Woolridge and Tatum. There's your other personnel.

But, at least we get to say we "have to" play 3 walk-ons as we slide to back-to-back losses.

FAIL

Wise was 100% on this. Take your bruce glasses off for a second.

Pearl doesn't make personnel subs does he...thought i remember him saying he left that up to an assistant...

Then why is he making the money he's making. He can obviously see it's not working but lets on as his assistance have more say so than him obviously.

Than why does he make the money he's making? It's obvious his assistance have more influence than him.

More advice from the so-called gurus. Reading some of these threads, I wonder if the pundits have voices that have changed.

there shouldn't be a basketball forum on volnation. 90% of the posters on here have no clue about basketball

Like the other forum, Steven Pearl does not belong on the court. He is hurting the team more than helping.

Bruce Pearl glasses!! LMFAO, How old are you 10? Give me one season in Vol Basketball History thats been more productive than any of Pearl's, I'm waiting!! People with zero knowledge of Tennessee Basketball History (like you, obviously) are the only ones that don;t appreciate what CBP has brought us. Are you old enough to remember the black curtains, empty arena, home losses in double digits. We have been to the NCAA's every year since his arrival, so take off your Anti Pearl Blinders or root for someone else Dork boy!!!

Does this not fall under the umbrella of being a disciplined player? IIRC it is one of the main faults that many have with Pearl, he doesn't demand disciplined play from his players.

Sure, it is the players responsibility to be disciplined but the coach sets the tone for the team. If he allows his players to play undisciplined, which we have seen many times over the last 4 to 6 games and does not address it then some of the onus is on him isn't it?

He shouldn't be paying his dues any longer either play him or send him home.
