What do you have against The Boss? I'd like to know who you'd rather have.

He sucks! The only thing worse would be to have him opening for U2. I might have to hang myself if that were the case.

Anyone else would be better. Guess I'll use that time to go to the bathroom, feed the cats, shovel the driveway, watch paint dry......

It's in Miami. Get Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefers opening for Santana.

Bruce is still putting out albums that are better than 96% of the garbage released these days. He'll put on an excellent show.

Ooh, guess you put me in my place.
The fact of the matter is, there hasn't been a good halftime show in ages. After the JJ incident, they've tried to go with the old or aging acts. Why are they so afraid to put something new up there. Frankly, I have never seen the correlation between the Super Bowl and music as the intermission. Same thing with opening day in baseball and the All-Star game, etc. Why do we need to watch a quasi-concert before, during, and after the games?

I personally thought Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers last year were awesome. Not the biggest Paul McCartny fan, but he did a good job two years ago as well. Say what you want, its been much better since the days of MTV giving us ex-boybanders and pop stars lip-syncing for twenty minutes.

I just wish it were more up to date instead of these older bands playing their hits from 20+ years ago.

i thought both McCartney and Petty did a great job.

Another year...yet another washed up halftime performer

A washed up performer that is still putting out albums and selling out every venue he plays. He's a true live performer. Up until the last few years they got studio produced acts to go out on the stage and do karaoke.
