Went into Bryant-Denny expecting an out-for-blood, raucous, revenge-seeking crowd that would be difficult for our team.

Even with their god-coach imploring them and begging them to be loud "for once." And this was played at least three different times on their miniJumbotrons.

Even noticed they have Oregon/Washington audio-reflecting overhangs over the top of the stadium on each sideline to help amplify the noise.

Even at its peak, it was not a top 5 SEC crowd.

It did indeed sicken me to see saben on the screen, almost seemingly begging them to be loud. I will say though, they were and it did crank them up. I also heard several around me in the first half complaining about how loud the UT fans were. They even said, D**** sounds like a home tennessee game. I quickly corrected them and told them, no not even close. LOL GO VOLS

I told the Bammer I was with how pathetic it was they had to play old man Nick on the jumbotron to pump up the crowd. A couple Bammers in front of me almost got into a fight because the younger one wouldn't sit down and this was prior to the game even starting.

Bama fans only get loud when asked or when their team does something. Other than that, they sit on their hands - just my impression.

They would say they are "acting like they have been there before" and shouldn't get excited at all. Strangest thing to me.

Yes, their fans are entitled, soft, pampered, and fat on success. They have not gone without since 2006. They don't know what it's like to look up to others - they only know what it's like to look down on everyone else.

The softness betrays their lack of passion, and fortells the bitter days to come. Their fans will be completely unprepared for the difficult times after Saban retires. They will not know how to endure the knowledge that their program's best days are, quite literally, behind it. That they must support players out of passion and loyalty, rather than as a reward for victory.

I will thoroughly, completely, unapologetically enjoy every second of their fall from grace - and tell them so, ad nauseum.

A good portion of their base are bandwagon fans.

Not even close to the noise and difficulty imposed by the Swamp. I know I’m biased but it’s the truth.

When the game came up on t.v. the first thing I heard was the crowd singing Rocky To0. Hilarious.

Heupel needs to respond and go 10-2 with our stadium completely tearing apart Georgia’s beck where he can’t hear and throws 7 interceptions.

I wore a blue Atlanta Braves shirt with a white “A” on it while in Orange Beach earlier this year, and got several “RAW TIIIDES!” Many of them can’t even identify the University of Alabama logo

Agreed. And not to give the Swamp too much credit lol, but the 88k in the Swamp were significantly louder than the 101k in Bryant-Denney.

Neyland > Swamp still. But I’ll give credit where it’s due.

The only time they even came close to Neyland was when they got the defensive TD and even then, it wasn't anything special. Rocky Top blared through their stadium clear as day.

No worries, I know there are others including Neyland who have an argument as “loudest,” but Bryant-Denny does not, in my experience. In fact, after Bama played in the Swamp in 2021, Saban implored the Bama crowd to create a similar environment in their home games. After Malzahn played in the Swamp in 2020, he stated that it was louder than LSU.

I've been only to 5 road games (only 4 venues though)

2016 A&M
2014 SCAR
2015 UF
2023 UF
2023 Bama

Then obviously tons of home games in neyland.

Not a huge sample size but Alabama was the quietest stadium I have been in, including SCAR which really surprised me. Even the big moments like the sack fumble I was pretty shocked the noise level didn't get crazy.
