Everybody engages in talk like that but parsing words about a tax increase vs reducing a tax cut is unbelievable in the current economic climate. I almost wonder if Boehner is going to concede on the tax issue just so the GOP can fundraise off of it and use it to beat Obama over the head in 2012.Spin control now by both sides, and in fact a few more sides. Cantor says that any tax "increase" will have to be done in negotiations with Boehner, not him, thereby simultaneously washing his hands of any tax issue and placing blame for that on Boehner. Pelosi & Co. say its not a tax "increase," its reduction in prior tax breaks for the wealthy and for oil companies. White House says this is par for the course and that now that they are down to the big issues the negotiation has to move to Obama and Boehner.

Can't believe the House will ever go along though. I think there are members that are fully willing to vote no and let everything burn down.

Agree with bolded - drives me nuts. They're cuts - no they continuations of existing rates that were already cut. They're increases - no they are elimination of prior cuts. We are poorly served.
