First MSU beats Ole Miss, now Georgia is hanging with Kentucky. Regardless of the final score, does this tell us more about Georgia or more about Kentucky?

Btw, check out the highlights from this one because Demarcus Cousins got POSTERIZED.

EDIT: UK wins by 8, but Georgia was within 2 with under a minute to go. Way to gut out a win by UK. Great game by Georgia though.

We certainly have no room to talk, but Cousins is a thug. He whines about every play and elbowed Swopshire in the face against UofL...should have been thrown out.

That being said, he's got some serious game.

I just don't see it that way. You don't know the story from the Louisville game. I do not feel like explaining the whole thing either. I will say this. Swop and Smith were talking trash and Swop hit cuz in the head. And I am sorry, there was no way swops knee should have come up like that and hit him. Swop knows he did it slickly, and on purpose. Cuz knew it too.

On a second note, why is a thug someone who talks on a court and throws an elbow? Have you ever played basketball? come on.

This thug word is thrown around like it's going out of style. It seems like it can be used to identify any black player that someone does not like.

I play in a church league and actually have thrown an elbow during a game 2 weeks ago. Yea, I know, church league :dance2:

If you truly watch UK, then you don't need me to tell you that Cousins is a thug. It's nothing against UK. Patrick Patterson = class act. Chris Lofton = class act. Cousins and Tyler Smith...thugs.

Um sorry but there is a big difference in throwing elbows and playing dirty in a basketball game and the things tyler smith is accused of doing

i think it really says something about both teams. As far as Georgia is concerned i believe that they are better than what most people are giving them credit for. Fox appears to have definitely improved them over what they were the last few years, and will have them competing in a couple years. As far as Kentucky goes, i think it just somewhat reitterates what most people have said is the only way to beat them. If you can pack it in or play a zone and make them beat you from the perimeter then that is your best shot. You have to slow them down and limit their transition points, and in half court sets keep the guards from penetrating and make them hit jumpers and threes. Obviously this is a lot easier said than done but i believe after watching a mediocore sec team in georgia hang with them for a full 40 minutes that kentucky is definitely beatable.

You have to couple this UGA performance with the win against Georgia Tech. Yes that same GT team that beat Duke today.

UGA is the worst team in the SEC East. The SEC is not nearly as bad as some people want to believe.

I have no hard feeling toward tyler and wish him nothing but the best. Having said that, I don't know why you think Cousins and Tyler Smith should be coupled together. What kind of logic is that? So, cousins throws an elbow during a basketball game and automatically he has 2 pistols in his back pocket? come on.

If cousins was white, you wouldn't say a word about him being a "thug".

I wouldn't call Tyler a thug either. Just bad judgment.

BTW.....I think Christian Laettner was a "thug" player...Last I checked he is white...The color of one's skin doesn't make you a thug, to me anyway..

I wonder if you or Aminu Timberlake thought Laettner was a "thug" when he planted his foot square in the middle of Timberlake's chest while he was laying flat on his back ??

I guess our confusion is around how we define a "thug" then. I never said anything about Cousins' race and I never said he was carrying around two pistols either. I live in Lexington, less than 10 minutes from Rupp Arena and I've even heard fans here call Cousins a "thug."

Anyway, I highly doubt that you will ever hear Cousins mentioned in the same breath as guys like Patterson, Chuck Hayes, or Scott Padgett. At least in terms of class...as I said though, he can ball for sure.
