Bulletin Board Material

I sometimes wonder how much or how often Vol players visit this forum. It got me thinking this could be an avenue for us to directly impact the outcome of games, by sharing bulletin board material that might give visiting players that little bit of extra motivation, that little bit of extra fire in their bellies. I figure it could only help.

Please share anything you find online you feel the players ought to know…

Per the SWEET 16 NCAA TOURNAMENT GAME vs Florida Atlantic, I’m gonna get things rolling with this little gem I just stumbled across. Apparently at least some of the FAU players are all in on the idea that we are out to play dirty…

I think the author of the article basically makes a career out of trashing the Vols. But you’re so right, nothing should make a team feel disrespected and motivated more than a shot at their worthiness.

If true, they are already making excuses in case they lose. Tennessee has been playing a physical brand of defense all year and just when we get to tourney time, they start really complaining about it. Also, making a plea to the refs to keep the Vols in check.

Great observation. I’m gonna also take it as a plea on their part for the refs to help them be able to handle our grit and toughness.

Couldn’t disagree more, but okay. It’s really no different than discovering their bulletin board material in other online platforms, news media, etc. But hey, it’s great that we all get an opinion. All the best.

It's like being undefeated against remaining teams we've played doesn't matter, lol.

How about loss of 2 starters for 4 or so games followed by losing their pg for the season. That’s more than I can recall any other Barnes team having to overcome?

Just hoping the refs don’t take the bait on all this propaganda. Tennessee plays just hard—not dirty. They grind and hustle and compete. We have players like Phillips and Vescovi who are slight in size and are forever getting roughhoused. Aidoo‘s and Nkamhoua‘s games are too soft at times. They rely on fade-always and soft jumpers a lot. It’s just amazing how basically 2 legal plays by one player (Plav) has impacted the reputation of the team undeservedly. Surely the officials won’t be so shallow to allow biased media to call this came before it even begins.
