Gave up 10 runs on ONLY 6 hits...8 walks and 4 HBP's will always end in a loss to an SEC team

Offense shows signs of life with 7 runs but the bullpen imploded in the late innings for the 2nd straight game...we were down 5-0 and then tied it a 5-5 in the 7th to only give up 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning...bullpen has been AWFUL in the late innings the last 2 games

I'm sorry but I don't see a lot of people here really caring about UT baseball. I get the impression it is irrelevant.

This is exactly why baseball is irrelevant, because no one cares. If fans would show up to the games and take an interest there would be pressure on Hamilton to make things right. But what's the point of shoveling money into a program that no ones going to show up and watch. It was sickening to see the small crowds we had at LNF during my time in the Hill, at a time when we were winning 40-45 games a year. Unfourtnately our fanbase seems to only "support" winning programs (i.e. Mens bball pre Bruce Pearl).

Then feel free to ignore this forum. Some people do care. It may only be a few of us, but we do exist.

People will support the program if they feel the administration is behind it. When you hire someone like Raliegh, that pretty much shows how the admin feels about the program. Not to mention just this year have they finally started renovating the stadium to a respectable degree.

The baseball program to me mirrors the basketball situation back in the Buzz years; a lame coach who's in over his head and not producing results and fans are staying away because the product is bad, and on top of that the coach has a reputation of being a jackass.

And people filled TBA for Bruce Pearl's first game, before anyone even knew the team would start winning.
