It's going to be a busy summer for UT rising senior Cierra Burdick. The 6-foot-2 forward helped her team, Takeover, roll undefeated through the weekend and claim the 2014 USA Basketball Women's 3x3 National Championship. HIGHLIGHTS

Mmmmm... how do you say "burnout" in Russian?

Given the reputation Burdick already has with NCAA refs, I'm not sure a few weeks in the Russian league of basketball etiquette playing against those Putin-headed ladies is the best idea--unless they can teach her to flop like a European.

But not sure it means the same thing as we use it for sports. Special Ed, help!

Does she really have a bad rep with the refs? I never noticed it, unless you mean the SECT incident. If you want them to flop, we need to get Muffet or Waltz (sp?) in for a special session. Now they have some floppers!

No one flops nearly as well as Vandy.

I never really saw it against ND. Achonwa and Braker were pretty sturdy. I don't recall a lot of o-fouls being called against Tennessee in that game. Having said that, you know that Jasmine Jones is good for at least 2 per game, and every person on the other team knows that...

I was thinking more of the NC game, and of course Achonawa did not get to play in that one. You're right as far as here.

Well...can't really blame Muffett. Without Achonwa, that was pretty much all she could do with a freshman trying to deal with the two headed Husky Post Monster.

USA today has her giving a great interview.

Note that her team had a NDer, a SC er and a Lv'e players. 10 or 12 second shot clock. Play until 21 or ten minutes. And if you watch the u-tube of the finals she tried to take a charge and it was not called.
