The dialogue was fascinating. I was enthralled with Bush and his desire to have the intention of the interview be about facts. Bush constantly checked him and even said O was "provocative".

I gain more respect for Bush from this interview and his comments on Cheney and Obama.

Seems our fading leader is finding his own
voice

Saw the O'Reilly one - very interesting.

I agree with his view that he (and all former POTUS's) should stay out of it once they are done. They alone realize how hard it is to get things done (especially foreign policy). It always bothered me that Clinton spoke out against the Iraq war on a trip to Saudi Arabia while we in the middle of it. He had the right to do so but there is no doubt it hurt the effort.

Carter is the chief idiot on the meddling front - well, actually on a lot of fronts. Why not this one too.

How about all fronts... People love to bash on Bush but my god I'm amazed carter can put his pants on in the morning.

I unfortunately missed this, so if someone would provide me with a cliff notes recap, I'd appreciate it. TIA.

he was solid on the today show. was actually really funny.

Talked about having second lowest debt to gdp of any modern president. Said TARP was tough, but necessary.

Took some blame for the collapse, but said there is a lot of blame to be spread around.

Said if the Bush Tax cuts had a different name, they would be extended. Also, said people forget when he took over office is was right as the dotcom bubble was bursting, then 9/11.
