What a crock! Jason Heyward finished 2nd. If the Giants hadn't won the series it would have been Heyward.

The vote is taken before the playoffs. I can't really argue with Posey, but it's an absolute crime that there were a few voters that didn't have either Posey or Heyward in the top 2.

I don't have a problem with it. Heyward was hurt for awhile and then faded down the stretch. It'll be interesting in three or four years to see how good each one of them gets.

There was one ballot that didn't even have Posey on it!!!! How the hell can you not even have Posey on your ballot? Insanity.

Heyward's name was also apparently misspelled on the ballot. I agree with Posey one and Heyward 2.

There was a writer from Pittsburgh that left Heyward completely off his ballot and instead voted for a couple of obscure Pirate rookies.

Homer much? Either guy would have been a reasonable choice, personally I'd have voted for Heyward, but Buster is a solid choice.

Buster had a better year, didn't help that Heyward got hurt...he plays a much more demanding position. Writers will always have an affection for catchers who can hit.

I bet he still holds a grudge against the Braves for ruining their last good years of baseball. Sid Bream better watch his back...

It's not just writers. Catchers that can handle the stick are coveted beyond belief.

As a big Braves fan, this was the absolute correct choice. Handled the best staff in baseball as a rookie and absolutely raked at the plate.
