This is just a random guess, but Auburn or Arky could make a run at him.

He may have been cleared but I'm sorry way too much coincidental evidence pointing to him being a shady character. Heck look at Miami during his watch. He would be a "sugar high" coach in my mind. Yes, we would improve and improve quickly, but I can almost guarantee you that there will be issues down the road. No thanks. Too many options out there that doesn't have baggage.

I see Davis or Malzahn to Ark and Petrino to Auburn. Just my opinion but I think these are hired with the best odds for those schools.

This is why I would want him . The AD can keep an eye out for problems. Miami has a history of looking the other way and UNC is basketball school that doesn't give a flip about what's going on with the football players.

I understand your argument . Ultimately things happened on his watch.

Apparently he "served his time" on those, so to speak.

Out of all the coaches being thrown about Davis' teams have the most SEC defensive scheme. Offense is an afterthought in this league.

I wouldn't mind giving him a look. He knows this is his last shot at coaching in college at a major program so he can't mess up. It is a much more realistic choice than everyone else talking about Gruden, McDaniels, or all the other NFL coaches.

I'm all in with anybody not named Dooley!! Butch Davis would actually be my 2nd or 3rd choice behind either Gruden or a current HC who is WINNING(Stoops/Peterson/Patterson)

Davis is heading to Arkansas. It's pretty much a given that is the job he wants and they want him.

Greetings! This is my first post here.

From a Miami fan (I am from and live in TN so I have a vested Vols interest), you want nothing to do with Butch Davis. He has always skirted trouble in college, but eventually it will catch up with him. Let that be with another team

I've heard that Al Golden wants out of Miami. He is a terrific coach and I would hate to see him leave, but if you can't get Gruden I hope you guys get him.
