now to just win on the field in big games against our hated rivals and bring home multiple sec and national titles.

Butch Jones: Not 1 player has been late for 1 meeting

“I’ve seen an inordinate amount of growth from all the players,” he said. “The culture’s in place. You walk into a team meeting room, there hasn’t been one player late for one meeting. They’ve been there 10-15 minutes early. A great illustration of this football team was yesterday, we had an early two-a-day, and the training room opened up at 6 o’clock. The first night in the hotel, we had 25 people waiting in the lobby at 5:45 a.m. to get over there and get treatment. That’s a small victory.

“We’re going to change, adapt and adjust the schedule, because that’s a lot to ask of them. That was a long day, but not one kid complained. They were there, and they were ready to go. Now, we have to continue to grow in our toughness, in our demeanor and our overall fundamentals as a football team. I’ve said it: Those are the things we can control, but everyone had better understand, there are going to be growing pains with this football team. It is what it is, but it’s going to be exciting to watch, because that’s an illustration of the type of people we have in our football program right now.”

we are coming and it's going to be a T5 storm.:clapping::rock:

I believe this. I'm also still preaching patience. I think 7 wins would be a nice season. Next year we turn the dogs loose.

Whether in your personal life, business life or as an athlete on a team, if you don't have structure, your chances of failing increase exponentially. Butch has instituted structure for Team 118, and with that will come responsibility and ultimately, ownership. Playing on a team is very different than having part ownership of the team you play for.

Good post. I think 7 wins would be a major feat for this team. That and a bowl win and we have a great season on our hands. I saw a "we could go 10-2" post earlier today. Possible I guess but I am starting to see expectations start to creep into the twilight zone. Patience needed indeed.

Teams tend to be made in the image of their coach, better Butch than Dooley any day. And for those that are tired of Butch's coach speak and catch phrases... if it inspires unity and the team buys in and it helps us win even one more game I'll listen to 1000's more brick by bricks, one Tennessee's and 63's.

You forgot individuals. And though I sometimes laugh at how much he uses that word, if what he is building comes to fruition, he can say it to his heart's content.:bow2::bow2::bow2::bow2:

Just get through this season and make it to a bowl. Next year, we're coming out swinging!

Everyone had similar optimism and enthusiasm for both Kiffin and Dooley. Hell, after y'all beat NC State, many here already had statues erected of Dooley. My point is, it's all talk, it's all bs until the won-loss record says something other than 5-7.

Butch must stop the bleeding, 4 consecutive loosing seasons and a 6-6 record would indeed prevent loosing season #5.
Another loss to instate rival Vandy would give the Commodores 3 straight wins and bragging rights to the state again, this is unacceptable and must not be allowed to happen.

I bet players are not going to the weight room, filling out a form that they worked out, and then leaving without having done anything, like they did under DD!
My guess is CBJ and the rest of the staff would drop a load of bricks on any player that did that! Just my guess.

Change Changed to Changing.

It will be Changed when we are competing for SEC Championships again on a regular basis.

Not so fast. Everything happening now is just a good indication of where we are going
