If Butch Jones is able to turn this team around in the first three years, he has to go down as surpassing the man's place he took in Cincinnati. People have said how good a job Kelly has done at Cincinnati and Notre Dame, but he also inherited Mark Dantonio and Charlie Weis's players. Butch Jones inherited Brian Kelly and Derek Dooley's. Hopefully in the near future both teams will meet in a bowl game.

Dooley wasn't much on the coaching side but he did a pretty good job of rebuilding a hideous roster. Jones isn't going to have depleted roster as an excuse like Dooley did in year one. Or year zero, whichever you choose.
