Butch Jones Presser Post Missouri

He saw the same game I did. The senior O line lost their poise. That's very disappointing. But I have this feeling that back home in Neyland next week things will be different in a good way

He was absolutely spot on when he said we have to improve our team speed and that MO exposed us in our areas of weakness. Butch gets it...just needs time to get the players in.

Thats exactly it. We need more Speed especially on D. You can't coach Speed. You either got it or you don't and we don't have much. Plus what speed we do got is from Fr and So.

Butch is a great coach but he needs time. Hell even Saban went 6-6 his first year at Bama

We got beat by the number 9 team in the country, got the number 2 recruiting class, and some of you idiots want the coach fired.

Bammer has room on the bandwagon.

We gave up 339 rushing yards tonight.

Our next opponent averages 315 rushing yards per game.

The Auburn game has the potential to be every bit as bad as the last 2 weeks have been.

The fact we pulled an upset of the #11 team in the country just two weeks ago also means nothing.

Did anyone pick up on the comment that we "would like to go full throttle" in pads for two days a week?

You read about how physical Bama's practices are but we just don't have the depth to even practice as hard as they do, because we lack the depth and can't afford to lose a player practicing hard in pads.

Dwell on that for a few....

Some people just don't live in reality. If my memory serves me right we were the Underdogs in every game we lost and Double Digit against Mizzou, Oregon, and Bama

This.

What coach in there right mind would want to come here with this fan base? You lose one game and they want to tar and feather you.

I agree with you but TN didn't even show up tonight. Did the fans want Butch's head after the UGA loss? Big big difference.

This. Also those same idiots will sing Butchs praise next time we win. We have the most wishy washy fans. We lose Butch and the coaching staff sucks. We win Butch and the staff are the best.

We also were not starting a true freshman facing the #9 team in the country, on the road, either when we played UGA...

Every game has its own ebb and flow. Tonight wasn't the Vols night. They play way better at home. Only loss in OT to Georgia. But if you want to wollow in it its a free country.

I want a coach that wants to coach a team with a fan base that's OK with a blow out loss to team that is on similar footing talent wise.

Who says anything about be ok with it? I'm not, he just doesn't have the horses this year and to be honest I don't think we're even at Mizzou's level of athletes.

All of the coachng turnover is a major reason for the shape this team is in, yet some of these people want to fire Butch without giving him the chance to clean up the mess Dooley and Kiffin left behind.

Who on here -and I mean show me even one- has said that Butch should be fired? Some of you have a tendency to make things up.

MO recruiting has been terrible the last several years. It's about doing more with less.

This is true but how would anyone like it?

Time to play the future. Neal can ride the pine and save himself for the CFL. The O-line is a joke. Tiny and Bullard may as well leave early because the talent behind may very well supplant them otherwise. There's no need for Butch to play anymore seniors. F*** them. They haven't produced in the last 3 and a half yrs and probably won't produce in the next 3 games. Total joke talent brought in by Kiffy and Dools. Hopefully Butch's frosh can help secure a bowl berth.

Wow...

Just... Wow...

You really may want to consider a 48 hour post-loss internet blackout if you can't control your emotional outbursts any better than that.
