I like what he said:
"That's what winning is about. I really believe that if you win off the field, you will win on the field."

I like what he said about owning the state of Tennessee, and that he and all his coaches are going to be in every high school. Also, he is going to have every high school coach at his coaching clinic which is important to build the relationships back after Dooley screwed that up.

Addressing the social media he called it clutter and basically said f the clutter. Loved the way he continually used the words us, our and we. Said he wasn't interested in speculation cause it is his job to prove it. Oh yeah, the storm is coming.

I loved CBJ in the presser...Hart absolutely made me sick...with his poor attempts to be funny and him trying to steal some spotlight in front of a national audience.

I liked his use of 'us' and 'we. He invested himself and took ownership right away. He really embraced Tennessee and its traditions. A minute point I know, but I appreciate this trait in a coach.

My take: He is arrogant in the RIGHT way. He believes in himself and the University of Tennessee. He is not here to prove himself but to simply do what he knows he can do. I like what he said. I like it very much.

Hart made you sick? Get over yourself. Maybe, just maybe, he wasnt trying to steal the spotlight and just has a sense of humor.

That said, let's get recruiting CBJ.

I am pretty excited now that I have watched the press conference. He did a good job of selling the program right from the start. Mentioning that Peyton was recruiting him to Colorado had to calm some fears, mine included. Hiring a solid defensive coordinator needs to be his next big focus ... well ... after recruiting. GO TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS!

You don't think that because Dooley messed that up, Jones wasn't told beforehand to say that?

If it was suggested, so what? It is part of his job to understand the situation. If something needs to happen, he has to know it. Keeping him in the dark about a problem would do nothing to develop a solution. You have to arm a soldier before you send him into battle.

I haven't seen anybody ask why Peyton was trying to get CBJ to come to CO?

Not disagreeing, but some are acting like it was his idea. It wasn't.

Most of what he highlighted were things that Dooley was poor at. I got a good dose of "I'm not Derek Dooley" in that presser.

He did decent overall. Hope he gets us going.

You stating that as fact or opinion?
He was running down the checklist of things that Vol fans wanted to hear. I thought he did well in the question and answer part for what it's worth.

Sorry you have such a queasy stomach. Actually Hart was merely doing his job at the introduction. Get over your hatred and maybe you won't be so  sick.

No i don't believe he was told to say that. There is talent in this state that we need to get and he knows that. Looking back in history Tennessee hasn't been able to lock up the great talent. That needs to change and will change.

This should have been done months ago.

A friend and I were sitting in the stadium during a game this past season watching Palardy tank one kick after another. I said to my friend, "Seriously?! We can't find one high school kicker in this city, hell even the entire state that could be more consistent at kicking a football through the uprights?"

The press conference reminded me of my middle school coach's psycho-babble.

I really don't know what his problem is. It is not that hard to kick a damn ball lol.
