Butch Jones Was The Perfect Hire!

I shudder to think if we had hired Gundy or Fedora.

We'd probably be 3-6 or even 2-7 with no hope of a bowl game and with a recruiting class ranked somewhere in the high 20s.

I was a doubter when Jones was hired but I have zero doubts now. The only thing I don't like is the hiring of Jancek and Bajankian. I am not sure they are the answer.

I think Butch is putting all the pieces in place and when he has them most of the Vol nation will be happy! In this day and age were all used to instant gratifacrion we all want to win right now! Go Vols!

The SC win and this recruiting class being truly EPIC says to me we got the perfect coach for us.

I'm with you there but you have to admit they have a very limited talent pool with which to build a defense. If they can show the same level of improvement next year as they have this year then we are headed in the right direction.

I have some reservations about this offense, the offensive coordinator. It's been ugly at times.

He is the right hire, no doubt about it.

When our buzz rating rises on the National Media level and commentators cannot do a segment without mentioning the Vols and the words Title, Championship, polls, recruits. Then we can say perfect.

I use to listen to stories from a man that was a personal, close friend and confident of General Neyland. These stories would last for hours and with some reservation, that I truly believe that Coach Jones will restore this program.

I think we have to give this staff some time. It is hard to see where we are going offensively or defensively until all the players are in place.

me 2 and maybe we are just getting old but it reminds me of the clawfense and this would not have been allowed back in 09 I have to say i miss the I formation and pro style offense. but if you look around the nfl there is alot of read option being played these days.

Me too.

I gotta admit tho that with the way we were rushing there for awhile this O was starting to grow on me.

It's all about recruiting in my book. You have to build it from the ground up. He has done an outstanding job so far in recruiting and you have to give him props there. If UT continues to do well their you can rest asure its only a matter of time before UT becomes a force and a challenge every year on the field. I miss the old days when a game vs UT and UGA meant something and had title implications. Good luck

The reason it has taken so long is because of Doofus. He set the program back years. Be patient with CBJ and we will be happy with the results.

Anybody that makes a judgement that CBJ is the perfect coach is not very informed. You can't say this until he's done something. You are trying to judge a painting when all he's done is put the canvas on the easle. It's as ludicrous as calling for his head.
