I'm liking what I'm seeing. Dooley seemed to piss everyone of them off with his stupid rules. Butch seems to be doing everything he can to embrace the former glory of our beloved UT by uniting the former players.

It's a smart move IMO.

If CBJ could keep building some recruiting momentum, get the class to concensus top 15, and land one or two "rock star" recruits (i.e. Green) - He will have this fan base fired up and back from the dead.

I'm not excited about him being our new coach because I think he is unproven and not good enough yet to man an SEC program - that is, unless you consider us on the level of Ole Miss and Kentucky.
HOWEVER, I love the fact he has reached out to our former players unlike that snotnosed little Saban Wanna Be prick Doolander.

Get real! What does proven mean in your little world? And not good enough to man an SEC program? How can you say that when he is only now becoming an SEC coach? He has a winning background as a head coach and Brian Kelly didn't seem to have too much trouble making the big leap from the same background. Sure the SEC is a big animal, but what was Dan Mullen's background as well? Was he good enough? How about Muschamp?

Yeah if there is one thing you noticed from those player press conferences at UC after CBJ left, it's that they really loved the guy. Instead of being bitter about him leaving, they were all happy and wished him the best. This guy is a great motivator + recruiter that his kids really love to play for, that much is known. The question mark is whether he'll be as good on game day.

The thing alot of people i think are failing to understand is that it's incredibly hard to bring in 4 and 5 stars with only a month on the job. CBJ was put in an awful position and inherited a terrible class, you guys have to give him time. 1 month is not anywhere near enough time to build relationships with some of these recruits, which is part of the reason he's been working like crazy for the 2014 class already. If we get a top 20 class this year i will be extremely pleased with the job he's done.

Butch is smart enough to realize that this year and next are the "legacy recruit" years. He needs every former player to help bring back the PRIDE in our program so the sons of players past can bring us back to glory. Jenkins, Bates, Kelly Jr, berry bros, seems liking I forgeting someone else, are all very good athletes, and could get us to the top.
For all his lawyering and smug attitude Dooley was to dumb to not realize how important this was. And I havn't been a dooley basher like some I kept most of it to myself. Owell good ridince.
I believe in BUTCH!

you can tell I'm serious from the CAPS

Multitasking is great but can he close, I can multitask as well, I can take a $h!, piss and talk on the phone at the same time, but the most important thing at the end is, is my a$! clean.

I think he'll get some to believe in him, but it'll take winning for others to follow.

It's great to see and hear the excitement around Tennessee football over the past couple of weeks.CBJ has put some air back into this deflating program

Funny how some of the people who scream Tennessee has no business being at the bottom are the same ones who have a problem with Jones reaching out to the people who put the program on the top. I don't get it.
