Now i know you're about to say "Were Tennessee we dont back down! We will play anybody!"

But lets be honest Were not winning a championship next year, It will be an auto loss, Next years goal needs to be to get to a bowl game.

And with this schedule, Were not guaranteed to win 5 games.

Austin Peay
Western Kentucky

at Florida
South Alabama
Georgia
Open Date
South Carolina
at Alabama
at Missouri
Auburn
Open Date
Vanderbilt
Kentucky

Auburn will be alot better under Malzahn.

Missour will be better.

Vandy will be good (Despite what alot of UT fans wanna think)

Hell Western Kentucky is not a 100% win IMO

Theres a CHANCE we lose 8 games for the first time EVER.

Call me what you want but for the best interest in this program we need to buy out this game.

Why not just take away all the cleats and replace them with ballet slippers while we're at it.

Bull$hit! Play the game. Win the game. "Anybody, anytime..." Backing out would be childish and portray a picture that would never sell on the recruiting trail. Competing means competing not piling up meaningless victories.

I think that would be a recruiting NIGHTMARE.... Can you imagine what ESPN and the other media outlets like F-BOMB would put out there about us.

I understand your concern but I think now gotta suck it up and do the best we can. Use the extra exposure to lure 4 and 5 stars here with the knowledge they could play immediately. That coupled with UT's tradition and resources and we should be relevant again in 2 years.

You mean like when we backed out of playing North Carolina a couple years ago?

Oregon is a good team but no better than 4 other teams we have on our schedule. I say no and lets pay 'em back for beating us up in Knoxville.

According to your post buying out the game won't help is get to a bowl game anyways what's the difference between a 7 loss and an 8 loss season really?
If we were smart what we should do is travel to Eugene and bust out some crazy wild jerseys so win or lose 17 and 18 year old kids across the country are talking about 1 thing... UT!

Buying out a game - ANY GAME - sends the message to everyone on the planet as follows: The Tennessee Volunteers are scared to play XYZ team. And, oh BTW, then UT has to cough up $500K+ to admit that we're scared.

What's worse: Playing and losing, or admitting we're scared and coughing up money?

If you say the latter, please go be a fan somewhere else.

I says play the &$*%&! game, and do the best we can. Nuff said.

Auburn will be alot better under Malzahn Hes good but they have some problems. W

Missour will be better. 2-3 from the West is damn good for CBJ first year, IMO

Vandy will be good (Despite what alot of UT fans wanna think)

Hell Western Kentucky - Sal is gone, W

I look for CBJ to steal a victory against either USCe or Georgia at home too.
