Yes he has been there for a while now. I wish we would schedule Coastal for a severe beating.

“As far as the arenas, yes this is a smaller arena, but it’s probably going to be louder than I was used to the last four years.”
-wouldn't that be his fault?

Man, I really hope we schedule them soon...

He'll be bringing the Chanticleers up to my university this year (They are in our conference) and we will give theirs back to them...so just hold on and I will tell you all when it happens.

I heard he is trying to re-recruit John Winchester and Boomer Herndon. A reunion of the stars.

Yep, there's 6 points of offense right there.

I can remember some of Winchester's air ball's in crunch time and Boomer's attempt that went over the shot clock.

“I was warned before I got there that support may be lacking and I still wish there had been better communication between me and the administration, so there was some anger and bitterness."

Admin: Buzz, get to the NCAA
BP: "What, I can't hear you?"
A: Get to the dance.
BP: "What I can't hear you?"
A: You're outta here.
BP: It's your fault, you never communicated with me."

Buzz didnt work hard enough IMO.

Recruiting is basically a lot of hard work and traveling. Pearl seems to be a very hard worker. Buzz just didnt have the drive to be successful.

Pearl, is an example of what happens when you actually do a search for a coaching candidate. Hamiliton did a good job hiring him I think. I think in 3-5 years are basketball team will be more successful then the football team is; assuming Fulmer is still here and defending the status quo.

Fulmer talks a pretty good game, but I havent seen anything to indicate to me, he's willing to make the changes needed to get the football program back on track. There are major changes needed. :twocents:

Are you serious about Buzz re-recruiting Winchester and Boomer? That's absolutely hilarious. Two of the worst players I've ever seen at UT.

No, I was kidding. Those two were bad. I went to the TN/Carson Newman game and my buddy and I were laughing that they had a guy that looked like Winchester. Big head, long neck and shot the ball with no rotation.

Never communicated with him....HA! Perhaps that silent arena in Knoxville was a subtle way of saying 'YOU SUCK!' from the crowd. Or was that a miscommunication?

Buzz was like Wade Houston without the recruiting. Only things he had going for him was that he was a nice guy and he knew Michael Jordan. I am not so sure about the nice guy part with him running his mouth like he has. As far as MIchael Jordan, I think Buzz is a name-dropper. Someone who has a lot of "friends" that are merely just acquaintances.

You think Houston was a good recruiter?

If you consider a coach that uses a division 1a school as a platform to showcase his son into the NBA as a Tiger Woods-ish retirement plan :birgits_giggle: Yeah he's the bomb.
