Virginia Tech is such a tough place to win at bball. Seth Greenberg was arguably one of the best (and most underrated coaches) in the ACC over the past decade. He won 59% of his games at VT and still couldn't get into the NCAAs (was on the bubble several times).
Buzz Williams REALLY wanted out of Marquette. I don't know the background, but he was making more at Marquette and it's obviously a better program historically. He's good enough that he can turn VT around (and it's a great hire for them), but it's still going to be difficult.
Would like to see Greenberg take another job. Interesting to see how he'd fare in another program outside of VT.
