Cool find.
I noticed when I clicked on his profile that they listed the 2007 East title under his accomplishments, even though he was not at UT yet.

Good to hear he is getting along well with his team.

Brian had a monster game the other night. 20+ in points AND rebounds. Also named Eurobasket.com player of the week. Link to complete write up below.

American center Brian Williams (208-C-87, agency: VVG Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked KL Dragons, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Petron Blaze (#6, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team in overtime 83-77. It allowed KL Dragons to take over top position in the ASEAN League . But it's just the very beginning of the season and KL Dragons won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Williams turned to be KL Dragons' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Tennessee star has very solid stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (3rd best: 26.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 23.0rpg), assists (8th best: 3.0apg) and averages impressive 56.3% FGP.

Good for bw I am happy for him maybe he has finally learned how to play aggressive yet under control. He showed sparks of it and was pretty good, just never seemed to really completely figure it out.

I agree. IMO, it was clear that he hadn't reached his full potential while he was here at UT. I think he could possibly play in Turkey or Spain at some point. MAYBE even NBA D-League, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Spot on. And yes let's not blow this up and start saying b dub to the league. For a player though that at times at Tennessee appeared to be uninterested, to now get paid to play for a living is nice to see.

im going to assume he started as the competition level over there is pretty weak, it would say alot if he was coming off the bench for them. in any regard, nice to see BW making a living playing a game, we all wish we coulod do that.

No offense, but there is no way in hell John Fields scored twenty points. I cannot believe this.

From a few of his FB posts I've seen, I think he's averaging a double-double. Is he still in Norway or where ever I said he was at last?

No, I meant Finland.

Write up for BW's next game. The rave reviews keep coming in:

Tiras Wade is averaging 25 points per game and Brian Williams is averaging 24 points per game. Williams have been phenomenal is his first two games in the AirAsia ABL. The former University of Tennessee center is also league's best rebounder with 18.5 rebounds per game.

Averaging 24 points and 18.5 boards through the first two games. Awesome. Also, it's nice that every write-up I've seen mentions UT when they talk about Brian.

good for brian. he almost found himself without basketball a couple of years ago, way to turn it around and make a career out of it. attn young kids: this is why you think before you make crucial decisions that jeopardize your basketball career.
